Leakey is in south-central Texas, in Real County.

Leakey is on the Rio Frio River about 15 miles north of Concan. The river originates in northern Real County and is fed by springs and streams. It tumbles over limestone rock to create beautiful waterfalls, rapids, and pools. Along the river banks are boulders, bluffs, and grassy spots shaded by pecans, live oaks, sycamores, and giant centuries-old cypress trees. A favorite activity is swimming in and floating on the Frio River.
