Accommodation Details

The Cottage is situated on ten secluded acres of privately owned property at the end of a chain of lakes surrounded by Florida's Ocala National Forest. It's the perfect retreat for the writer, artist or nature lover. Eagle, osprey and sandhill crane are frequent visitors along with the elusive black bear and white-tail deer.

The cottage has hardwood floors throughout, central air-conditioning and heating, one large bedroom with queen size bed and sitting area, one large modern bath (shower only), dining room, living room with a pull-out sofa bed, and a large screened porch overlooking the lake. The fully equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar, all necessary dishware and utensils, 4 burner range/oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and blender. The cottage also has a satellite TV, AM/FM stereo with CD and cassette player, board and card games, and free local phone service with 56K dial-up internet. Linens and towels are provided.

The property has an outdoor charcoal grill, open campfire pit w/firewood, dock, canoe, croquet court, and horseshoes.

Smoking is outside only. The cottage is not handicapped accessible.

The lakefront home is remote and quiet, and the property is wooded. Nearby water recreation includes fishing and canoeing. Other nearby recreation includes golf, tennis, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, and hunting.
