Cottage Rental Rates and SeasonsThe Kentucky vacation lake cottages are available for rent all year. Rental rates for the lake cottages are $125 to $360 per day, or $605 to $2,595 per week. The year 2007 rental rate periods are:

Accommodation DetailsThe vacation property has 12 individual cottages. Each cottage has either 2, 3, 4, or 6 bedrooms, and can sleep from 2 to 20 people each. The resort does not have efficiencies, trailers, and camping. Each of the air-conditioned cottages has a private bathroom, telephone, cable TV and VCR + DVD, video movie rentals (free if it rains), and fully equipped kitchens with cooking utensils, silverware, dishes, pots and pans, electric range, dishwasher, coffeemaker, microwave, and other electric appliances. The cottage rentals also come with linens, towels and paper products. Boat and motor rentals are available. The lake property has a sand beach, 20-slip electrified private boat dock with fuel available, floating tan deck, heated swimming pool (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), 2 children's playgrounds, volleyball, basketball, badminton, horseshoes, shuffleboard, charcoal grills, picnic tables, patio tables, gift shop, game room, and laundry facilities. The vacation property also has a boat launch and free wireless internet. Smoking is permitted. Pets are not allowed. The vacation cottages are partially handicap accessible. SurroundingsThe cottages are secluded and quiet, and the property is wooded. The cottages are on Kentucky Lake. Water recreation includes swimming, fishing, and water-skiing. Nearby recreation includes golf, hiking, bicycling, and hunting. Kentucky Lake has approximately 400 miles of shoreline. Fish include small and large mouth bass, crappie, sauger, rockfish, catfish, and bluegill. Live and artificial baits and tackle are available. Topographical fishing maps and fishing guide service are available. Hickory Hill is about 11 miles south of the Kentucky Dam on the west side of Kentucky Lake. Nearby is The Land Between the Lakes, a 170,000 acre forest and wildlife preserve, between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. Also nearby are the Woodlands Nature Center, the Planetarium, Home Place (an 1850's working farm), and many other attractions. Many fine restaurants specializing in catfish and other seafood, barbecue pork and ribs, steak, prime rib, and family-style Kentucky home cooking are a short drive from the resort. Some of the seasonal activities featured near Hickory Hill are sailing regattas, power boat racing, arts and crafts fair, festivals such as Tater Day, Hardin Day, Aurora Country Festival, Quilt Show, and many more.
