Vacation Home Rental Rates and SeasonsThis Western Maryland 19th century farmhouse is available for rent year-round. Rental rates for the farmhouse are $110 per night (2 night minimum) or $625 per week. Rates based on 1-4 adults. Extra persons over the age of 12 are $20 per person per night. Check-in at 3 p.m., check-out at noon. Reservations must be guaranteed by check or money order. A non-refundable deposit (one night fee) is required within 7 days of making telephone reservation. Accommodation DetailsThe tin-roofed farmhouse has 11 rooms including 4 bedrooms, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, wrap-around porch, and den. The farmhouse accommodates up to 5 people. The heated home has a fully equipped kitchen with coffeemaker, dishes, and pots and pans. Bed and bath linens provided. Pets and smoking are not allowed. The farmhouse is not accessible to handicapped persons. SurroundingsThe farmhouse is remote and quiet, and the property is wooded and mountainous. Valley Meadow Acres is at Sideling Hill, about 10 miles west of Hancock, Maryland. This streamside property invites guests to enjoy spring-fed ponds, spectacular foliage, hiking, and picnicking. It is a great place for bird-watching and wildlife viewing. The farm ponds are stocked with bass, catfish, and bluegill, and fishing is allowed by permit. Hancock, Maryland is rich with canal and railroad history. Today, the town is known for its hallmark country dining and town browsing. Travel 5 miles, go under the interstate overpass, turn immediately left on Bottenfield Road, and travel 1 mile to the Valley Meadow Acres farmhouse.
