Accommodation detailsThe Poland Spring Inns were established in 1790 as a stage coach stop between Boston and Canada. During the 1800's it became internationally known as a "playground for millionaires." Many of the historic building still exist but all accommodations are modern. The vacation lake resort has a total of 210 units. The cottages hold up to 10 people, and the rooms sleep as many as 3. Bring your own soap, towels, and room glasses. The resort has the second golf course built for a resort in the United States, and it is home of Poland Spring Water. The property has a private trout pond, swimming pool, golf course, putting green, tennis courts, shuffleboard, bocci court, volleyball, horseshoes, restaurant, bar, store, and much more. Pets are not allowed. Some non-smoking rooms are available. The resort is partially accessible to handicapped persons. SurroundingsThe resort and cottages are secluded and quiet, and the property is wooded and mountainous. Sunsets overlook the magnificent golf course with the backdrop of the White Mountains. Recreation includes fishing, swimming, golf, and tennis. Middle and Upper Range Pond are accessible. The property has a boat launch, and boat rentals are available. Fish include bass and trout.
