Ocean cottage rental rates and seasons

The Maine vacation cottage is available for weekly rental from June through October.

The two-story vacation home can accommodate 4 people (more people are negotiable). The cottage has 2 double beds and a small sofa on the second floor. There is also a futon on the first floor. The cottage has a private bathroom with shower, and a fireplace. The kitchen has dishes, pots and pans. Linens and towels are included.

Well behaved pets are OK. No smoking in the cottage. The cottage is not handicap accessible.

Surroundings

The vacation cottage is secluded and quiet, and the property is surrounded by woods and fields. The home is between Castine and Blue Hill on Penobscot Bay. The village of Brooksville is only 5 to 6 minutes away. Brooksville is a small rural seaside town on the Blue Hill Peninsula, and home to many artists, musicians and craftspeople.

Nearby water recreation includes canoeing and kayaking. Tour boats and schooners explore the harbors and ocean, and allow guests to view wildlife in its natural habitat. Boat rental is also available. Other nearby activity includes hiking, bicycling, shopping for crafts and antiques, attending artistic shows and performances, and dining on traditional seafood dishes.
