Cottage Rental Rates and Seasons

The Michigan vacation cottages are available for rent from May through October. Rental rates for the lake cottages are $85 to $125 per day, or $550 to $650 per week.

Accommodation Details

The vacation property has 2 cottages, accommodating from 5 to 6 people each. The heated vacation cottages have TV's, and fully-equipped kitchens with coffee makers, dishes, and pots and pans. Each cottage has its own grill and picnic table. One cottage has a fireplace and phone. Linens and towels are provided.

The lake property has a beach area, boat house, dock, and fire pit. A 12-foot aluminum row boat is provided with each cottage.

The cottages are not handicapped accessible.

Surroundings

The cottages are located on a wooded hill along a quiet dead-end road. The property is semi-secluded and has 100 feet of shoreline on Chicaugon Lake. Water recreation includes swimming, fishing, boating and water skiing. Nearby recreation includes golf, hiking, bicycling, and hunting.

Chicaugon Lake is a clear spring-fed lake. The lake is about 5 miles long and 1 mile wide, and it has a water depth of 150 feet. Fish include walleye, pike, perch, bass, musky, trout, and panfish.

Iron County Pentoga Park and Ojibwa Indian Burial Grounds are within walking distance. Across the lake is the George Young's Recreation/Golf Complex.
