Cottage Rental Rates and Seasons

The two Michigan vacation getaway cottages are available for rent May - September. Rental rates are $425 - $575 per week.

Accommodation Details

The River Road Cottages consists of two units, nestled on a Michigamme River point, with beautiful river and forest views. Each cottage is approximately 100' from the river and has a private dock.

In 1965 my grandfather purchased over 60 acres along the Michigamme River in Crystal Falls. Recently, I purchased one of his original parcels bringing the property back into our family. Extensive renovation has occurred in 2007, creating cozy, yet modern accommodations.

Lucille's Cottage is 1,300 square feet with a large country kitchen, family room with a new queen sleeper, bunk room with two twins and a master bedroom with a queen pillow top. The cottage sleeps up to 6. A large deck overlooks the river and dock.

Peter's Cottage is 700 square feet with an open concept, beamed vaulted ceiling with a queen pillow top bed, sleeper sofa, bath with shower and kitchen. The cottage sleeps up to 4 and has a riverfront view and private dock.

The cottages have heat and air conditioning, phone, TV, VCR, DVD player, and radio. The fully-equipped kitchens have a coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, and pots and pans. Linens and towels are provided.

The lakefront property has a barbecue grill and fire pit.

No Smoking inside the cabins. No pets around on the grounds. The cottages are not handicapped accessible.

Surroundings

The home is secluded and quiet, and the river front property is wooded. Water recreation includes canoeing, swimming, and trophy fishing. Other nearby recreation includes golf, tennis, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, and hunting.

EXCELLENT fishing, which includes: Muskie, Walleye, Small Mouth Bass, Pike and access to multiple Blue Ribbon trout streams. A boat launch and bait shop is within walking distance.

The Michigamme River is up to 25 ft deep. Boat motors are allowed.
