Vacation House Rental Rates and Seasons

The Michigan vacation home is available for rent all year. Rental rates are:

$800 per week *
$125 per day *, 3 day minimum

* For more than 6 people there is a charge of $25 per day, per person.

$200 deposit at time of reservation

Accommodation Details

This vacation house is newly built (completed May 2005), and has 3 bedrooms/1 bath and sleeps 7. The open concept of the house allows you a great view from the kitchen, dining, and living rooms and two bedrooms plus deck. The house has heat, a deck, washer/dryer, phone, satellite TV/VCR, radio, and CD player. The fully-equipped kitchen has a coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, and pots and pans. Linens and towels are provided.

The lakefront property has a beach, barbecue grill, fire pit, and picnic table.

Pets and smoking are not allowed. The house is not handicapped accessible.

Surroundings

The house is located on the Garden Peninsula near Manistique and Escanaba on Big Bay de Noc of Lake Michigan. The house is secluded and quiet, and the property is wooded. Nearby water recreation includes swimming, trophy fishing, boating, and water skiing. Other nearby recreation includes golf, hiking, bicycling, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing, and hunting.

Day trips:

The historic Fayette State Park is a must see (bring your camera). The park is only a few minutes from the house by boat or car and has an nice sand beach for kids to play and a picnic area. In the winter you can use your cross-country skis. Another place to visit is Big Springs in Cooks. 

There are 18 hole golf courses in Garden, Nahma and Manistique. Manistique has a casino and two grocery stores - one with a great selection of meat and the other with a dairy-cream for your holiday sweet tooth and home made pizza.

If you are a fisherman do we have the spot for you -- a launch and a deep water slip just minutes away for some of the best salmon fishing in Michigan. There is a charge of $15 per day for the use of this beautiful spot. Plus when you are done it is a great spot to have a picnic or just relax and enjoy the sand beach and swim. The fall brings an abundance of color and many ducks and geese on their way south. In the winter you can ice fish for perch right in the bay.

Lake Michigan is one of the Great Lakes. Fish include salmon, bass, pike, perch, and trout.
