Cottage rental rates and seasons

Rental season is May through October. Sunday through Sunday weekly rates are:

1 bedroom cottage (sleeps 4): $450/week
2 bedroom cottage (sleeps 6): $550/week

$100.00 less for weekly rentals before June 16 and after Labor Day.

Accommodation details

The vacation property has 2 cottages:

The vacation cottages have gas heat, air-conditioning, decks, color cable TV's, VCR's, DVD players, and fully-equipped kitchens with coffee makers, microwaves, dishes, and pots and pans. Linens are provided. Please bring towels.

The lake property has a 100 ft sandy beach, 150 ft dock, children's playground, horseshoes, picnic tables, barbecue grills, and campfire pit.

Smoking is permitted. No pets. The cottages are not handicap accessible.

Surroundings

The cottages are secluded on wooded property along the south shore of Houghton Lake. Water recreation includes swimming, fishing, and water skiing. Nearby recreation includes golf, hiking, bicycling, snowmobiling, and hunting. Close to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, 4 golf courses, hiking trails, and arcades.

Houghton Lake is the largest inland lake in Michigan covering 22,000 acres with a water depth of 22 feet. There is no motor size or boat speed limits. Fish include walleye, northern pike, large and small mouth bass, bluegill and crappies. A fish cleaning station is on the property.
