Accommodation Details

The Balsam is for the family who wants to get away from phones & TV and enjoy a week on the lake. It was built in the 40's. It has a combined kitchen, dining & living room. The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, glasses, silverware, toaster, coffee maker, pots & pans, dish towels & cloths. It has 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed, chest of drawers & closet. The beds have pads, blankets & pillows. Living room has loveseat & chair. Dining at round table with 4 chairs. The porch overlooks the lake (top picture). Full bath includes small tub-shower, stool & sink. Carpeted living room & bedrooms, vinyl bath.

Private dock, barbeque grill, picnic table & 12' aluminum rowboat are included.

Approved pets must never be left alone unless in cage or left off leash. Smoking is outdoors or on screened porch. The house is not handicapped accessible.

Surroundings

The home is on Rennie Lake and the property is wooded. Nearby water recreation includes swimming, boating, fishing and water skiing. Other nearby recreation includes golf, hiking, horseback riding and hunting.

Beautiful Rennie Lake covers about 250 acres & has no public access. It is clean & spring fed with a sand bottom. Great fishing for large & small mouth bass, blue gill, perch, tiger musky... The Boardman River basin contains brown trout & northern pike. Don't miss the beautiful high view of the river valley off Ranch Rudolph Road on your way to the cabin. 

Ranch Rudolph (1 mile away) has horseback riding, canoeing, a restaurant/bar, campgrounds and hiking trails. Camp Greilick Boy Scout camp is just across the lake. Mackinac Bridge and Island Ferry is only 100 miles away!

Directions: From Kingsley take Brownson (Co Rd 611 also Garfield Ave) North thru Mayfield. Right onto Arbutus Hill Rd. Sharp right onto Hobbs Hwy. Right onto Ranch Rudolph Rd, left on Kantz Rd. Go to end, left at row of mailboxes to cabin.
