SurroundingsDown a long driveway, nestled by the lakeshore, the 2 cottages share a 50-foot private beach. The area is not an "association" but private homes. The property has a gently-sloping sand and pebble beach perfect for swimming or relaxing in the chairs. There are no large rocks on our beach :). From the bank above the beach, rock gently in a wooden swing, or go down a few steps and sun on the patios. The view from the front yard or from inside the cottages is beautiful during the day, and the passing freighter lights in the distance are captivating at night. Star watching and bonfires end another wonderful evening! Water recreation includes swimming and fishing. Other recreation nearby includes golf, tennis, and bicycling. Lexington itself is an undiscovered treasure for the visitor. Much to do in the area: beachside parks, golf, tennis, antiques, restaurants, delis, and lakeside expresso bars are less than 6 miles away. Port Huron is another fascinating city. The river walkway + freighter watching alone are a must do. We are about 10 minutes from Lexington, 20 minutes from Port Huron. Additional informationLet us be your "place on the lake" this summer. Directions: We are located right on Lakeshore Road (also called M-25), 1/2 way between Port Huron and Lexington - a mile or 2 over the Sanilac County line, between Orchard Beach and Rhoales Beach at 8469 and 8471 Lakeshore Road. Attention! House numbers reverse at the county line which can be confusing. We are 4 miles north of Lakeport State Park.
